On a school theatre production, Akib Aryou first met Arivina Risa. Since, they are extraordinarily inseparated working partners. They share the same admiration in high-fashion houses from McQueen to Rolland, Chanel to Dior, and passion in creating finely-crafted, hand-made accessories and dresses. Started by designing stage costumes for the theatre, they experimented in creating promnight dresses for their friends and created BOADICEA.
BOADICEA is an Indonesian couture-inspired custom-made clothings. The fashion brand was founded on February 2013 by high-school bestfriends Akib Aryou and Arivina Risa. Derived from the legendary Scot queen, BOADICEA is for every girl and woman who wanted not to look simply pretty but sophisticatedly beauty, with a sense of feminine strength and fatale charisma.
BOADICEA's motto, 'We create art -- on your budget' explains our goal to make affordable womenswear with haute-couture style. BOADICEA is trying to keep up-to-date with latest global fashion trends from New York to Paris. We try to combine clients' request and desires for dream dresses with BOADICEAn style and current fashion delights.
Our passion for finely made piece of art is crafted in our dresses. No dresses will be made more than two pieces in a collection, and each piece has its own uniqueness. Our dresses is one-and-only and personally yours.
Our first collection, 'Nebulae' for Fall/Winter 2013, has been released in July 2013 for our first 15 customers in Jogjakarta. Our second collection, 'English Roses' for Spring/Summer 2014, will be incorporated in Jubah Macan Theatre's 2014 production, A Midsummer Night's Dream, May 17th, 2014, at the Concert Hall of Taman Budaya Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
